Novare Equity Partners (Pty) Ltd is partnering with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, on accelerating the adoption of green building practices through the promotion of voluntary green building certification programs based on the EDGE (“Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies”) software, standard, and certification system.
Novare and IFC are establishing a framework for greater collaboration in pursuit of their shared aspirations to move the commercial real estate sector on to a lower-carbon, more resource-efficient path.
To this end, Novare is committing to EDGE certifying 100% of its portfolio.
The commitment to design and build resource-efficient projects with EDGE is aligned with Novare’s sustainability strategy. With two buildings in Zambia already EDGE-certified, the partnership with IFC underscores Novare’s commitment to reducing the environmental impact of its buildings, and clearly signals investors and tenants that Novare is committed to environmental accountability; aiming to significantly reduce the carbon footprint of their property portfolio and contribute to the global drive for Net-Zero emissions.
